An introduction to the the concept of elements and compounds, with an interactive slide that uses the interactive whiteboard. The quiz requires pupils to identify a substances as elements or compounds, and it includes many entertaining quiz noises! This is a great PowerPoint to use with year 8.

This is a game where students are presented with the name of an element and have to "shoot" the correct symbol. It is set in a space and the symbols fly towards the spaceship as meteors! Students have two minutes to shoot as many correct symbols as possible.
