Earning money by contributing

We believe teachers who put their hard work and free time into developing teaching resources should be rewarded in proportion to how often they are used, just as publishers authors get a royalty depending on how often their book is bought.

The difference with Teachable is that there is no set price for credits or downloads (and many earn them for free as part of contributing).  But we can guarantee to give you 50% of all future income from your files.

It works simply like this:  every time another teacher redeems a credit by downloading the full version of your file, we log that (and the Downloaded counter goes up).  At quarterly intervals we check how often all your files have been downloaded and pay you accordingly. Read further here.

What could I earn?

It's perfectly fair - you earn more if your files turn out to be more popular with other teachers.  At the moment, the average file on the site gets downloaded around 15 times a year, but the most popular files could get much more interest.

Taking a rough illustration, if you upload 30 fairly popular files (covering maybe 15 topics), you would earn around £200 every year they are on the site.
