   • I had a low year 11. They were not into reading or writing, but would happily discuss. The pictures here are great. They promote discussion and make you see what the characters saw. I love it. Not keen on the lined background though. It makes the reading look hard on the eye

   • This was an excellent visual resource that prompted some good discussions regarding the themes we might encounter in the novel. Male students enjoyed it more than female students.

   • A detailed and well prepared Powerpoint that can be used to explore the theme of heroism. It leads students to also consider the portrayal of war in the novel and by governments both past and present. This resource would be presented to students after the novel had been read as it contains descriptions of and quotations from key events.
